May 30th Message: Points to Ponder

Biblical Principles

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Bible Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

Jesus’ example: Jesus knows the O.T. (Old Testament).

Jesus accepted the Old Testament Scriptures as being divinely authoritative. He never cast doubt on any of the accounts recorded in it. Jesus sees the people who are written about in the O.T. as actual people, and supports the thinking that the events described therein literally occurred. We never find Him giving the slightest hint of anything but the complete acceptance of the Old Testament as the Word of God.

Matt. 12:38-42 (vs.40 – )

Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of a big fish.”

Jesus quotes the O.T.:
